आर्मी परीक्षा निश्पट्ट रात थियो । जङ्गलको बाटो थियो । त्यसमाथी झन सिमसिम पानी परिरहेको थियो । खोलो तर्न सक्ने कुरै थिएन । बाटाको भलबाट जोगिएर , लुकेर जानु पर्ने आपत परेको थियो हामी सबैलाई । नपु ¥ याई पनि भएको थिएन । त्यत्रो मेहनत परेको थियो हाम्रो । दिनभरको जङ्गलको ओह्रालो बाटो गएका थियौँ । बाटामा हिड्ने मान्छेबाट जोगिँदै , पाइतालाको चाल सुन्दै त्यहाँसम्म पुगेका थियौँ । फेरि त्यो जङ्गलमा ठूला र खतरा जङ्गली जनावर पनि हुन्छन् भन्ने सुनेका थियौँ । नगई पनि भएको थिएन । कहिलेसम्म हामीले चाहीँ हेपिएर , दमित भएर बस्नु ? कहिलेसम्म अरुले दिएको खानु ? यो हाम्रो लागि एक प्रकारको परीक्षा थियो । हाम्रातर्फबाट अलिकति गल्ति भए सबै भताभुङ्ग हुन्थ्यो । हाम्रो काम सफल हुँदैन थियो । मरेर , मरेर त्यहाँसम्म पुगेका थियौँ । खानु न पिउनु भएका थियौँ हामीहरु , रुनु न हाँस्नु भएका थियौँ । ऊ पक्कै त्यतै छ भन्ने पूर्ण संकेत हामीले पाएका थियौँ । जङ्गल काटेर पनि ...

The other side of Songs           In childhood I used to wonder at some songs I heard on the radio. Now as an adult also, I wonder on the power of the songs/music; and in both cases, the reason of wondering is the same. In the past, I used to think that no one would compose better songs compared to those I enjoyed at that time. However, my thoughts proved wrong. I happened to listen better songs than that; even with better lyric, better melody and better music. How could that happen? No one helped me answering this question logically. Teaching is Two Way Exploration Many novice teachers in Nepal have taken teaching profession as a process of imparting knowledge to the students. They think that teachers are the source of knowledge and the students are somehow the passive recipient. However, the thing is not like that. Teaching is a two way exploration.
